Ried Kellerberg
The Cru Dürnsteiner Kellerberg is the paragon for a top single vineyard in the Wachau region. Vines are growing on south-eats facing terraces made of natural stones with soils of weathered Gneiss and some layers of Loess on the bottom of the slope. A long vegetation period caused by the cool airflow in the nights is inducing a very late harvest. This particular kind of microclimate is responsible for unique wines combining refinement and power in their own inimitable way. Often the wines are at once smoky-hedonic and delicate-savoury.

Ried Pfaffenberg
Alte Reben
A more than 65 years old tiny parcel, quite unusually planted with Grüner Veltliner, is producing this wine. The soils are barren and composed of crystalline primary rock dominated by Gneiss and Mica schist. The choice of grape variety is quite unusual, but the vines are old and the result therefore demanding and full of character: a mineral, unusual one of a kind for advanced savourer.
